Sushi Hero

(This was a 2019 project)

Sushi Hero is a cooperative card game inspired by Ghost Blitz and The Mind.

Players play as chefs in a sushi shop offering sushi on the rotating track. The general rule is to always place a different kind of sushi on the next, keeping customer’s interest. 

ALL SUSHI CARDS HAVE 3 TRAITS:

• A. Ingredient: between shrimp, salmon, fish roe, and seaweed
• B. Style: between sushi, sashimi, roll, and hand roll
• C. Number: between 1-4

Instructions

1.  Leave a 10 x 5 spaces for placing the cards, as "the track". Shuffle all the sushi cards. Place the sushi deck, special cards and the timer in the middle.
2.  Each player draws certain amount of cards from the deck. (two  players: 10 cards each / three players: 7 cards each/ four players: 5 cards each)
3. Draw the top card from the deck and place it on the first slot of the rotating track to start the game. Set a 4 minutes timer when starting.
4. The sushi card you place on the rotating track must be completely different from the previous two cards on the track., meaning all three traits must be different. Players must shout out the sushi card name and number when they place it.
5.  Collaborate with your sushi chef friends to complete the whole rotating track before the time runs out. The game doesn’t take turn, whoever has the card that follows the previous rule can place the card immediately.
6. When the number of cards in your hand reach 3, draw cards from the deck till the limit. (ie. If it is 3 players game, draw back up to 7 cards in your hand)
7. Winning condition:  complete the whole track within 4 minutes.

Example: The third card can't have the same trait with the previous two, meaning you have to place a card that is not hand roll, sushi, salmon, fish roe, one, and two. 

Special Cards

• Each player has one re-stock card, can be used anytime during the game.
• One wasabi card is placed next to the deck, if agreed by all players, it can be used anytime during the game.
